Opeth will finally return to India after seven years away. The Swedish prog-metal veterans, the ones behind tracks like 'Ghost of Perdition,' 'Blackwater Park,' and 'Harvest,' will bring two shows this time - Mumbai on October 3, and Bengaluru right after. The band will have been going since 1990, started in Stockholm by frontman Mikael Akerfeldt, and over three decades they'll have carved out a sound that's never been easy to box in. Part progressive rock, part death metal, with folk threads running through it here and there. This tour will tie into their 2024 album, The Last Will and Testament, a concept record set in the 1920s. It will also mark something fans had been waiting on for a while, Akerfeldt bringing his growls back after years of leaving them mostly behind.
