The Sarod to Soul concert featured the talented musician Madhav Kalra in a beautiful performance held this past July in Delhi. The artist, who began learning the instrument at just ten years old under the guidance of Pt. Mukesh Sharma, took the stage to share his deep passion for Indian classical music. Throughout the evening, the audience enjoyed a continuous musical arc that folded together various ragas, intricate improvisations, and original compositions. The performance felt far from rushed, as the music breathed through a sense of quiet reflection and genuine connection. It was not presented as a static museum piece but rather as a living, breathing art form that invited listeners to sit still and truly listen. By the time the final note faded away, the performance had successfully moved the audience, leaving a lasting impression that resonated deeply with everyone present that day.
