Awarapan 2
Overview
Nineteen years have passed. Shivam Pandit is back, and he's carrying more than memories this time.
Shivam leaves the crime world behind. The crime world doesn't return the favour. Grief follows him out. Loss makes itself at home in the space everything else leaves behind. Purpose becomes something he watches other people have. Then circumstances make the decision for him and pull him back, and standing inside that world again, he understands something he probably always knew. Running isn't a solution. It is just time borrowed against something inevitable.
Every decision costs him something. Every relationship tests his resolve. The film sits inside a simple, brutal question: whether Shivam is capable of breaking free from this life, or whether the vagrancy he has always lived as is simply too much a part of who he is.
This time, it ends here. Or it ends him.

Fun Facts
- The film’s marketing team pulled off a beautifully sentimental move by officially releasing the first teaser on June 29, 2026. This date was not chosen at random; it marked the exact 19th anniversary of the release of the original 2007 Awarapan. The trailer even pays direct homage to the first film, showing an older Shivam standing over the grave of his lost love, Aaliyah Hamid.
- Emraan Hashmi proved his commitment to the gritty, physical demands of the sequel during their extensive winter schedule in Rajasthan. The actor had recently undergone a significant health procedure, but despite his doctors advising extended rest, he refused to stall the production schedule. He flew directly to the desert sets to execute heavily demanding dramatic sequences, keeping the tight production on track.
