Overview
Neem Karoli Baba, AKA Maharaj Ji, was a renowned saint known for his wisdom, guidance, and positive outlook on life. Hanuman Ansh is the Hindi term for the divine part of Lord Hanuman Ji. The name was given to Neem Karoli Baba by his followers, based on their belief that Maharaj Ji was an incarnation of Lord Hanuman Ji. Maharaj Ji refuted this, declaring that he was merely in the service of Hanuman Ji.
The film is a digital retelling of Maharaj Ji's life, tracing the spiritual journey he undertook in his early years to become who he is today. The highlight of the film is Neem Karoli Baba Ji's journey. Born Lakshman Narayan Sharma, he was a normal child before tragedy struck when his mother passed away. This trauma motivated him to give up his ordinary life and embrace the path of a wandering ascetic. The movie shines a spotlight on the journey of a saint who transformed not only his own life but also the lives of others going through difficult times.

- Shobhinaw Satyaa wasn't cast to headline Hanuman Ansh at all, as he was working behind the scenes as the film's second Assistant Director, juggling props and production duties. But when the actor originally set to play the lead fell ill, director Vishal Chaturvedi made a bold call and handed the role to Satyaa instead. Talk about being in the right place at the right time. He went from managing props to carrying the entire film on his shoulders.
