Overview

Mo Gilligan loves fried chicken. Not casually. Not the way most people say they love something and mean it mildly. He tried an experiment to consume fried chicken for 28 days consecutively, having it three times a day.

The rules are simple. Wake up, eat fried chicken. Lunch, fried chicken. Dinner, same thing again. During the experiment, a persistent question keeps coming to his head which only he can answer. Where does this much chicken even come from and, how does an entire country keep eating this volume without ever running short? This curiosity led him to America, chasing down the machinery behind his plate.

What he finds there is not pretty. Artificial production and fried consumption has unimaginable effects that can change the course of a body dynamics in the long run. But somewhere along the way the story stops being about chicken. It becomes about who cashes in on it, who gets stereotyped for craving it, and what is happening in this industry on a large scale.
