Dacoit
Overview
Dacoit is a neo-Western action drama that explores the volatile relationship between two former lovers who are forced by destiny to reunite after thirteen years apart. The story follows characters played by Adivi Sesh and Mrunal Thakur who are thrust back into a dangerous world of high-stakes crime. The protagonist is a man who was wrongfully accused of a crime in the past and spent years in prison, which left him hardened and fueled by a desire for retribution. Upon his escape, he seeks out his former girlfriend, but his intentions are far from romantic, as he claims he is there to destroy her rather than forgive her.

Fun Facts
- Unlike most pan-India films that are dubbed, Adivi Sesh insisted on shooting every single scene twice - once in Hindi and once in Telugu. He believes that 'emotion is lost in translation,' so the Hindi version is reportedly subtitled and restrained, while the Telugu version is more physically expressive.
- Mrunal Thakur was not the first choice for the female lead. The role was originally offered to Shruti Haasan, who even began preliminary work before stepping away due to 'creative differences' with the director.
