The brave Tibetans fighting for their cause!
In 1958, as Chinese forces tighten their grip on Tibet, Gonpo Tashi, a Tibetan leader, brings together armed volunteers from across the region to form Chushi Gangdruk, a resistance movement whose name means “Land of Four Rivers and Six Ranges.” As the situation worsens, the resistance fighters take on a perilous mission in 1959 to protect and escort the 14th Dalai Lama through the mountains to safety in India. Along the way, they face the vastly superior Chinese forces in a struggle marked by courage, sacrifice and resilience.
It is a story of bravery, resilience and unity of the Tibetan people in their struggle against the superior Chinese army.
