This movie continues the story of the anime series that began in 2003, taking Gintoki, Shinpachi and Kagura into the dangerous underground red-light district of Yoshiwara. The district is ruled by the ruthless Housen, who has kept the area firmly under his control. Their journey takes an unexpected turn when they meet Seita, an orphan searching for his mother. As the trio gets involved in Seita’s search, they find themselves caught in a much bigger battle for Yoshiwara. Packed with action, emotion and some intense face-offs, the movie also delivers a standout battle between Kagura and Abuto that fans definitely won’t want to miss.
