Hacks Season 5 acts as the definitive and poignant conclusion to the long, chaotic, and unstable collaboration between iconic comedian Deborah Vance and her talented writer Ava Daniels.

Following the aftermath of a false media report about her death, Deborah returns to Las Vegas with Ava to secure her legacy before it is too late. Since Deborah is now legally banned from performing comedy in the United States, the pair battles to recapture her standing in the industry while navigating personal growth and professional ambition. As Ava seeks her own identity outside of Deborah's shadow, the two women must choose what they are willing to give up for a lasting impact.

This final season explores mortality and mentorship, forcing both women to decide if their intense bond can survive the difficult truth of their shared history as they leave their permanent mark on the world.
