Mitha Zehar
Overview
Mitha Zehar is a gripping Punjabi crime thriller that explores the complex lives of three ambitious women. Their path takes an unexpected turn when they devise a plan that seems airtight but eventually spirals into total chaos. Three women. Ambition so large it had no business being contained in either.
The slow road was always there. Steady, sensible, but going nowhere they wanted to be. At some point, the calculation changes. It arrives looking like a solution.
The story moves fast.
What the women build feels airtight at the start - a clean plan, a controlled situation, and money moving in the right direction. And then, the situation starts to spiral out of control.

Fun Facts
- Rahul Kalia, who stars in the film as Daman, didn’t just act. He also served as the writer for the project.
- A unique fact about this film’s direction is Balwinder Kalia’s specific intent. He reportedly refused to paint the female leads as victims. In many crime dramas, protagonists are forced into crime; here, the focus was on the autonomy of their choices, making it a more cynical and modern character study.
