Overview

In the spin-off of the famous series Reacher, we follow an ex-military heroine as she takes on a dangerous case of her own. Frances Neagley is a former master sergeant in the U.S. Army who once served alongside Jack Reacher in the elite 110th MP Special Investigations Unit. After leaving the military, she built a successful career running a private security firm in Chicago. Things take a dark turn when Neagley learns that a close friend, Tommy Stensen, has died in what appears to be a suspicious accident. But something doesn’t add up. Smelling foul play, she begins digging into the circumstances surrounding his death, only to uncover a dangerous conspiracy that puts her and those around her in the crosshairs.

What begins as a search for answers soon pulls Neagley into a maze of secrets, danger, and unexpected twists. And yes, there’s a special guest appearance from someone we all know - because when things get too dangerous, there’s only one person Neagley can count on to have her back.

Fun Facts

- Neagley barely had a personality in the books. The show had to invent one from scratch. In Lee Child's novels, she's basically a background name: a few scenes, zero backstory, no inner life to speak of. So this spinoff isn't adapting a character; it's reverse-engineering an entire person out of the tiny fragments Lee left behind. Sometimes the best origin stories start with almost nothing to work with.
