Overview

Maahi is a young girl in a world that moves too fast for her to feel seen. Then she rescues a battered, frightened stray dog from the street and names him Bruno. The neighbourhood views an animal as something to be feared and keeps at a distance. Maahi sees something she recognises.

Their friendship is quiet & unpretentious. It is built on the particular trust that forms between a child and a creature the rest of the world has written off. The more the people around her push back, the more she understands what Bruno already knows - belonging is something you earn by showing up, and not by being invited.

Ohh My Dog is a family film about what a child's instinct for compassion can teach the adults standing around her, and about the courage it takes to protect something everyone else has already decided is not worth protecting.

Fun Facts

- While the emotional narrative centers around the primary canine leads, Oscar and Bruno, the production went to staggering lengths for authenticity. The director brought in more than 250 real dogs during the filming process. Instead of relying heavily on digital CGI, the crew managed a massive, real-life canine community on set to promote the film's core theme of animal coexistence.

- The movie's official teaser immediately struck an emotional chord with audiences by paying homage to Indian cinema history. It opens with the iconic, nostalgic lines of Amitabh Bachchan’s legendary song 'Mere Paas Aao Mere Dosto, Ek Kissa Suno' from the 1979 film Mr. Natwarlal. The filmmakers chose this specific audio cue to set a classic, heartfelt storytelling tone.
