Tyler and Maddie are a few weeks into the van life adventure they had been planning for years. Open road, no fixed address, nothing ahead of them but time. Then, on a dark stretch of highway in the middle of the night, they see something they cannot unsee.

A gruesome accident. A driver dead. And something else at the crash site that does not belong to the world of the living.

They did not leave the scene alone. The Passenger, a demonic presence that attaches itself to whoever witnesses its work, has climbed into their van, and it will not stop until it has claimed them both. Distance does not help. Speed does not help. The thing cannot be outrun because it is already with them, in the shadows of the vehicle they cannot afford to stop.
