Overview

On the outside, the Karkarias are a perfect family. They seem to be flawless, successful, and sorted. But the illusion cracks when their young granddaughter, Daani, suffers a school breakdown. After she is diagnosed as a Highly Sensitive Person, her school issues an ultimatum - family therapy or expulsion.

Driven more by reputation than genuine concern, the family sits down with Dr. Megha Verma. However, Dr. Megha refuses to treat Daani as a broken object to be fixed. Instead, session by painful session, the spotlight shifts onto the adults: Somnath, Kamla, Vishnu, and Neeti. Hidden guilt, toxic resentments masked as jokes, and generational wounds are slowly laid bare.

Daani’s crisis isn't the whole story; it is simply the catalyst. This is a raw, healing journey about a family forced to stop performing and finally learn to love each other authentically.

Fun Facts

- Perfect Family marks a major career milestone for actor Pankaj Tripathi, serving as his debut project as a producer. Partnering with Jar Pictures' Ajay G. Rai and Mohit Chhabra, Tripathi backed the project specifically because of its grounded focus on mental health, family trauma, and relatable humor.

- Rather than using family conflicts purely for slapstick humor, the narrative kicks off when the youngest teenager, Daani, undergoes an emotional breakdown. The entire Karkaria family is dragged into group therapy sessions, forcing decades of buried resentments, patriarchal pressures, class insecurities, and communication barriers into the open.
