Pritam And Pedro
Overview
Pedro works on instinct - conversation, asking the right person the right question at the right moment. Pritam works on data - surveillance feeds, software, whatever gets him to an answer faster than gut feeling ever could. Neither wants the other as a partner.
They end up in a car together anyway, drawn into a case about an abandoned ATM washed up on a beach in Goa. Behind it sits a cybercriminal dangerous enough to need both of them to have any chance of closing in.
Pedro thinks Pritam looks at screens when he should be looking at the crime scenes. Pritam thinks Pedro is operating out of a decade that stopped existing long ago. Both miss things the other catches, and the cases keep closing precisely because of the crash between their methods.
Not friendship exactly. Closer to grudging respect that neither would admit to out loud.
