Overview
Delhi, 1978. Sixteen-year-old Suman has a radio performance at night. Her brother Sahil goes with her. Their parents wait by the radio. A stranger's voice comes through instead, and something much worse has already happened.
Sub-Inspector Jayprakash Jatav catches the case. He is an introvert in a system that rewards noise, and he is fighting to prove himself. The Ridge forest gives up what it's been keeping. The investigation becomes something else entirely.
Jayprakash has an engraved weapon, two unidentified fingerprints, 48 hours to show progress, and a city demanding answers he doesn't yet have.

- The series is deeply rooted in real-world Indian criminal history. It is a dramatisation of the infamous 1978 Ranga-Billa case. The horrific kidnapping and murder of Delhi siblings Geeta and Sanjay Chopra was a crime so brutal it completely upended public safety laws and shook the collective consciousness of the nation.
- Following the show's release, an old interview resurfaced where actor Bobby Deol shared how this exact case altered his childhood. When he was in the 6th standard, a classmate of his was briefly kidnapped by Ranga and Billa before escaping. When police questioned the boy on who else attended his school, he mentioned Bobby Deol's name. Hearing this, a terrified Dharmendra put Bobby under a strict 9 PM curfew and virtual house arrest for years, forcing him to learn how to ride a bicycle entirely inside their house.
