Raftaar
Overview
The startup world pulls certain people in and does not let go easily. Not because the unethical practices take place. It is the velocity of it. A fast-paced business does not wait for you to make a move. One stop, and you are so far behind that making up to the sales numbers will crush you under pressure.
Neither of them knew how to give ground. Boardroom or anywhere else, business is so fast-paced that the startup just stopped being a company and became a battleground where every sale matters. A place where greed is the main driver for ambition, attraction, and competition.
The business brought in more money than they expected. This has created a precedent for power and greed. Issues were there, but the revenue just masked them, as short-term success was a comfort zone in the firm, and the stakeholders were already enjoying the ride.
Raftaar means the speed, the rate at which you can reach new heights, but with a cost. It feels like cloud nine initially because the sales just make you go full adrenaline. Once you reach the saturation levels, the fall hits way harder than before. Raftaar put the spotlight on the ups and downs of the ed-tech industry.
