Resident Evil
Overview
Bryan transports human organs between remote hospitals. But his quiet routine of paperwork and winding mountain roads shatters late one winter night during a rush delivery to Raccoon General Hospital in Colorado.
After accidentally striking a woman on a dark road, Bryan rushes her to the facility, only to plunge headfirst into absolute chaos. A viral outbreak has already breached containment. Horrific, mutated creatures rule the corridors, and the entire city is tearing itself apart at the seams.
With zero combat training and no weapons except the tools he can scavenge, Bryan is completely trapped in a waking nightmare. This isn’t a mission to stop an evil corporation or save the world. It is a desperate, claustrophobic battle for a normal courier who showed up at the worst possible moment—and must simply find a way to survive until morning.
This isn't about saving the world. It's about surviving until morning.

Fun Facts
- The biggest subversion in this reboot is the protagonist. Instead of a highly trained, weapon-toting super-soldier like Leon S. Kennedy or Chris Redfield, the story follows an everyman named Bryan. Bryan is a completely clueless medical courier tasked with making a package delivery to a remote hospital. He has zero combat skills and is totally inept at survival.
- For deep-cut gaming fans, Cregger confirmed a major timeline mechanic. The film takes place as a modern-day alternative history version of the games, but its events run completely concurrent to the classic Raccoon City outbreak from the Resident Evil 2 video game. While the main characters from the games are fighting their battles elsewhere in the city, this movie tracks the outbreak purely from the isolated, terrifying perspective of ordinary citizens trapped in the crossfire.
