Fateh and Rajveer are two brothers living quietly in their village, the kind of place where ordinary life runs alongside the awareness that things are not as they should be. For twenty years, the same group has held the position of sarpanch, and for twenty years the village has watched its development get buried under corruption and self-interest.

Sarpanch is about what it costs to hold a community to a standard it has stopped holding itself to. The fight is unglamorous. It matters anyway.
