Star Wars Visions Presents - The Ninth Jedi
Overview
The Jedi are gone. Not defeated in a single battle, just slowly faded into legend while the galaxy moved on without them. Most people have stopped connecting those two facts.
Kara's father, Lah Zhima, is the last lightsaber smith alive. That knowledge makes him irreplaceable and, in this galaxy, a target. Both amount to the same thing.
She leaves with Margrave Juro and a crew of Jedi held together by necessity, moving through a galaxy that has forgotten what the Force means. The mission runs in two directions - find her father before the Jedi Hunters do, and find enough Jedi willing to stand against General Nawaam, who is a warlord growing more and more dangerous.
The further in they go, the more it costs. Kara's blade is changing colour, which lightsabers do not do without reason. She understands the reason. Being ready to face it is a different matter.

Fun Facts
- The show is the flagship title launching Lucasfilm's brand-new 'Star Wars: Visions Presents' banner. Lucasfilm executive producer James Waugh revealed that following the overwhelming success of the anthologies, studio president Kathleen Kennedy challenged the team to see what would happen if they gave creators a bigger canvas. Instead of starting from scratch, the creators are expanding a singular narrative by bridging the events of the original 2021 Visions short 'The Ninth Jedi' and its late 2025 continuation, 'The Ninth Jedi: Child of Hope'.
- While the original short focused on a group of hidden Sith masquerading as Jedi apprentices, the limited series introduces a major, overarching new threat to the galaxy. The creative team formally introduced General Nawaam, a terrifying masked antagonist. The directors confirmed that Nawaam was explicitly and loosely modeled on the visual and psychological traits of Anakin Skywalker and Darth Vader, acting as a looming shadow over Kara's journey.
