Overview
Kara witnessed the destruction of Krypton at age 14. She survived on a chunk of the dying planet, watching everyone around her perish. That is what made her different from her cousin Kal-El, who arrived on Earth as a baby and was raised with love. She carries all of it.
Kara Zor-El is celebrating her 21st birthday travelling across the galaxy with Krypto, the Superdog, when she meets Ruthye Marye Knoll. Ruthye is the upcoming noble and young warrior whose father was killed at the hands of Krem of the Yellow Hills.
Somewhere along the way, Lobo enters the picture, Kara makes an acquaintance with the about-to-be-immortal bounty hunter. The outer trip to the outer world they share will be as awkward and challenging as you can see from two individuals with trust issues towards each other.

- At CinemaCon 2026, it was revealed that Milly Alcock went to extreme lengths to ground her performance in the film’s cosmic setting. She reportedly learned five distinct comic book languages for the production. Most notably, Alcock performed several high-stakes, emotional scenes with her on-screen parents entirely in Kryptonian. This was a deliberate choice by director Craig Gillespie to emphasize Kara Zor-El’s alienation from Earth and her deep roots in her home world.
- Filming took place from January to May 2025 at Warner Bros. Studios Leavesden and across rugged locations in Scotland. The Scottish Highlands served as the backdrop for various alien planets, providing a natural, gritty texture to the cosmic odyssey.
