Overview

Schools in South Korea are in crisis. Teachers are humiliated in classrooms, students record the chaos for social media, and administrators look the other way. Therefore, the Government creates the Educational Rights Protection Bureau, a task force to fix the issue.

Na Hwa-jin is their inspector, sent to a different school each assignment to confront bullies, corrupt parents, and anyone making a teacher's life impossible. Former special forces officer Im Han-rim works alongside him, with Bong Geun-dae completing the team.

Teach You a Lesson is not about fixing the system. It is about what happens in the places the system stopped trying to fix.

Fun Facts

- The original webtoon faced significant backlash in 2023, particularly from international audiences, due to scenes involving racial slurs and controversial depictions of corporal punishment. Netflix’s Senior Director, Bae Jong-byeong, confirmed in a 2026 press conference that the production team extensively overhauled the script to suit global audiences to address these concerns, ensuring the series focuses on the core theme of justice without the problematic elements of the source material.

- Pyo Ji-hoon, a member of the K-pop group Block B, plays Bong Geun-dae, a KAIST graduate and assistant director at the Bureau. While P.O is known for his bubbly variety persona, this role is a significant pivot. Trivia from the set suggests he spent time studying technical jargon to accurately portray the 'brain' of the operation.
