Season 5 of The Boys escalates the stakes to their highest point yet, plunging viewers into a fractured America where Homelander’s fascist grip has reshaped society into a nightmare of fear and oppression. His regime thrives on silencing dissent, locking away those who dare to resist in so‑called “freedom camps.” Ordinary citizens live under constant surveillance, terrified of stepping out of line, while the once‑formidable resistance struggles to survive in the shadows. The atmosphere is suffocating, and every act of defiance feels like a spark against overwhelming darkness.
