Fun Facts
- The film was originally set to be a Netflix Original. However, production stalled when Gyllenhaal insisted on filming in New York City to achieve the specific "gritty" 1930s aesthetic she wanted. Netflix pushed for New Jersey to save costs. Warner Bros. eventually stepped in to "foot the bill," allowing Gyllenhaal the creative freedom and location she requested.
- The film’s wardrobe was handled by legendary costume designer Sandy Powell (a 3-time Oscar winner). The goal was to blend 1930s "Bonnie and Clyde" style with a DIY punk aesthetic.
