Overview

Yogesh Patil is an ordinary man, and a parent watching pesticide exposure quietly destroy his family's health, with no one willing to take responsibility for it. When he decides to fight back, he runs into a system built to absorb exactly this kind of complaint and make it disappear.

Advocate Archana takes his case anyway. She isn't chasing headlines. She's standing in a courtroom against agricultural machinery with far more money and far more reasons to make this go away quietly.

The India Story: Slow Poison in Progress follows their fight as it grows from one family's ordeal into something much larger, evidence the powerful have spent years burying, a regulatory system that keeps looking away, and a question neither side can avoid forever - who answers for what's been allowed to happen.

This is Yogesh's fight first. Archana makes sure it doesn't stay small.

Fun Facts

- The film faced a formal legal notice over its explicit, aggressive depiction of toxic chemicals in Indian agriculture. The creators have stood firmly behind the project, with Kajal Aggarwal publicly defending the script by asserting that food safety concerns are, unfortunately, a widespread reality that modern families deal with every day.

- To capture the stark visual reality of rural farming conditions versus urban corporate landscapes, the production team bypassed stylised studio backdrops. Cinematographer Nishant Bhagwat shot the film across real-world locations split heavily between the dense concrete of Mumbai and the vast agricultural terrains of Kolhapur.
