Anna is at a crossroads. Once an aspiring chef with a bright future, she has spent her twenties drifting through unfulfilling jobs and poor decisions. When she loses both her house-sitting gig and her apartment in the same afternoon, a chance meeting with a charming Italian named Matteo  feels like fate. Hearing that Matteo has a family villa sitting empty in the heart of Tuscany, Anna makes the impulsive, and arguably reckless choice to fly to Italy and hide out there for a night.

The film sits with that tension honestly. It doesn't rush Anna toward a tidy revelation. It lets her sit with the discomfort of having built something worth keeping on a foundation that isn't quite true, and asks what it actually takes to stop running from the life you want.
